5-7 March 2008 in Malmö, Sweden


The second Nordic Biogas Conference was held in Malmö, Sweden, the 5-7 March 2008 at Hilton hotel. The conference was organized by biogas representatives from all five Nordic countries. The targets with the conference were to exchange best practice information of production and utilization of biogas between the Nordic countries and to establish cooperation and commercial contacts. Target group for the conference were primarily actors that work with biogas like municipalities, local waste management, farmers and consultants, but also decision makers and politicians. There was also an exhibition in conjunction with the conference and in the exhibition coffee/lunch was served.

The first Nordic Biogas Conference on this theme was held in Helsinki 2006 and gathered 130 participants from 12 countries.

The second Nordic Biogas Conference had 257 registered participants from 15 different countries.

The Organizers

Participants in the conference organizing committee are the Swedish Gas Center (project co-ordinator), the Swedish Gas Association, the Swedish Biogas Association, the Swedish Association of Waste Management, Waste Management Norway, Metan from Island, Bionova Engineering from Finland and the Danish Biogas Association.
