About Nordic Biogas Conference
The Organizers
Participants in the conference organizing committee are Energinet.dk (conference coordinator), the Danish Biogas Association, Waste Management Norway,
Bionova Consulting from Finland, Sorpa from Iceland, Swedish Gas Centre and Energigas Sverige.
Vision of Nordic Biogas Conference
The vision of NBC is to let stakeholders in the gas and energy sector meet and exchange experience in addition to get the latest updates from the leading researchers in the biogas, wastewater and energy fields at an international level. It is crucial that biogas and energy experts spread their knowledge and activities to the outside world, which requires cross-disciplinary work on cross-sectoral challenges done by stakeholders, consultants and scientists that work closely together within an international frame. Close interchange of ideas and applications is here the key to develop the biogas industry. NBC is especially focusing on promoting workable and evidence-based knowledge in the production technologies within biogas, in the opportunities in waste-to-resources processes and in the backbone role of renewable gasses in the energy market of the future. The overarching aim of NBC is hereby to carry out a broad range of sustainable contacts between experts, researchers and developers of the biogas industry, where participants can identify gaps and discuss how new knowledge can be practically implemented. Previous conferences
The third Nordic Biogas Conference in Oslo 2010 had 326 registered participants. The second Nordic Biogas Conference in Malmö 2008 had 257 registered participants. The first Nordic Biogas Conference in Helsinki 2006 had 130 registered participants.
